How Do I Stop Email Notifications From Facebook?

What triggers Facebook emails to my Inbox?

There are a number of triggers that result in receiving an email from Facebook, which you can control from within the Notifications section of your Account settings. Let’s get started learning how. It’s easy!

Controlling your Facebook email notifications

Login to your Facebook account. Afterwards, you will need to access your Notifications page to make your changes. Click the down arrow next to Account and choose Account Settings. This will open up your My Account page, which will have several tabs running across the top. Click the Notifications tab to begin changing your notification settings.

Once on the Notifications page you will see that it is broken down into categories, with the first category being Facebook. The additional categories that follow are determined by what you are using and/or have installed. For example, you will most likely have a section for photos. If you are a member of a group or groups, you will see a section for Groups.  Your list of sections may be quite long. Just know that each section has it own notification settings, which you can control.

It’s time to take control! You will find the step-by-step screen shots below. If you have any questions please post them here or over on my Facebook page at http://www.Facebook.com/MOSTraining. See you there.

Step 1: Access your account settings

Step 2: Click the Notifications tab

Step 3: Begin changing your settings within each desired category (don’t forget to click Save)
